We are very excited to offer our first intermediate bread baking class!! If you’ve already taken our BREAD 1 class and are looking to expand your knowledge this class is just for you :) this class is a deep dive on fresh-milled whole grains and is for bakers who are comfortable with the basics of sourdough bread.
This 2-hour class is limited to a small group so each and every one of you will get plenty of attention and hands-on experience. In this class we will explore:
The how-to of fresh-milled whole grain flours
Exploring flavor and nutrition of whole grains
Adjusting bread recipes and techniques for whole grain flours
Different wheat varieties
Adding inclusions to bread recipes
each participant will leave the class with a loaf of whole grain bread ready to bake, a proofing basket, sourdough starter, fresh milled rye flour, and a razor for slashing their bread before baking. additional flours and baking equipment will be available for purchase at the class
