WHOLE / WILD / WET / SLOW / BOLD:  BAKING GOOD BREAD AT HOME

Have you always wanted to bake bread at home, but don't know quite where to start? are you interested in whole grains, but are worried that your bread will turn out an inedible brick? or maybe you've baked a few loaves, and now you're wanting to take your bread to the next level? have no fear, we are here to help make all your dreams come true.

DETAILS:

This class is limited to 8 participants so each and every one of you will get plenty of attention and hands-on experience.

in this 2 hour class you will

  • learn how to keep your sourdough starter healthy and active
  • mix a batch of whole wheat bread dough
  • shape your very own loaf of bread
  • learn top-secret tips that will turn your home oven into a professional bread oven
  • bake a loaf of bread
  • eat a slice of fresh baked pizza + drink some wine/beer (drinks available for purchase)

participants will leave the class with

  • your own sourdough starter
  • 1 lb fresh milled rye flour
  • a loaf ready to bake at home
  • a proofing basket
  • a copy of Josey Baker Bread (optional, for purchase at class)
  • freshly milled whole grain flours (optional, for purchase at class)

This class is non-refundable. If you're unable to attend the class you have registered for, please give us as much notice as possible by sending an email to cobrina {at} joseybakerbread {dot} com. While we'll try our best to fill your spot, once you register for a class, you will not be refunded if you're unable to attend that class.  

*please note: class is held from 4:30-6:30pm and segues into pizza night! We encourage class participants to stick around for dinner after class, though you don't have to. If you're looking for classes further into the future (we add classes one month out), please just check back in here once the dates draws near.
